Here’s how you start your day when you’ve motivated to do something new and different: with a true American “fix-it” attitude. You’re like: “Yeah! Today I’m gonna do it!”
And there could be a lot of things on your list, all of which you want to get to. Maybe more than you probably even realize: exercise, work, eat well, be nice, enjoy life more, and maybe de-clutter a little. You’re psyched about all this in the morning.
But as they day wanes, a little bit of disappointment might set in. Or maybe flat-out alarm because you’re not making it through the list. You may become crestfallen. Or start thinking about tomorrow, as a place to re-assign some of those to-do’s.
This is the American way: work hard, keep persevering.
I have another thing to add to your list! It’s a wee bit un-American. But it’s got potential to take you places. And here it is: instead of pushing that button on yourself to DO MORE, BE BETTER, talk about yourself. Whining and complaining is allowed.
In my upcoming blogs, I’ll show you why this is not only good for you, but how it’s going to take you places.
